Heather Marks is an artist, art educator, and arts advocate. She resides and teaches art in Mansfield, Ohio, in addition to holding a studio at 400 W. Rich St, an artist community near downtown Columbus, Ohio. Community building through the arts is essential to her.
She works in a wide variety of mediums including: wood, acrylic, watercolor and charcoal. Heather is constantly coming up with new creative ideas and developing these ideas to completion. She has a degree in art education from Bowling Green State University where she minored in painting and ceramics. Pop-culture and world cultures often influences her subject matter.

Her signature figures, still bearing the scars of their traumatic pasts, now display signs of healing, even consoling one another while glowing with an inner light. In deliberate contrast often offering a raw, unflinching view of trauma, turmoil and tribulation.
